Merry Christmas and Plenty of Buns Beatrix Potter

Three Rabbits Eating Plenty of Buns by Beatrix Potter, painted in the early to mid 1890s.

A delightful painting of three bunnies eating, yes, plenty of buns! I love her ingenious use of lettering which spells out the message "A Merry Christmas and Plenty of Buns." And liking good puns the way I do, I also love the play on words (buns like you eat and "buns" as a short form of "bunnies"). Beatrix Potter normally signed her works with her three initials in a lower corner, but she continued her playful use of lettering in this particular painting and placed them on the key tag instead, which I find quite charming.

The spine of the binder has a repeat of the delft blue crockery design and can be personalized with your own text.

This would make a charming holiday recipe binder, or use it as a scrapbook or photo album to keep your special Christmas memories safe and organized.

Please visit my gallery's Beatrix Potter Christmas Collection for matching items. Binders in this same design are also available in different sizes (one inch and two inch).
