Redoute Red Camellia Gift Tags Enclosure Cards

Redoute Red Camellia Gift Tags Enclosure Cards

Pierre-Joseph Redouté Camellia japonica 1827

These beautiful gift tags will add a touch of grace and elegance to your gift wrapping. Enclosure cards are always thoughtful, tasteful and appreciated -- and practical, too, as gift tags can become separated from the gift at events like showers and weddings and also during transit if the gift is shipped.

I adore this particular print: lovely, simple, elegant, charming -- everything but the marvelous Camellia scent. Produced by "the Raphael of flowers" Pierre-Joseph Redouté for his sumptuous book of engravings Choix des plus belles Fleurs.

I love the graceful lines, the vibrant greens of the sun-dappled leaves and the rich red of the flower itself. Truly, it's an exquisite bloom. (Well, that's no wonder: the specimen he painted belonged to a French princess!)

Matching note cards, Christmas cards, stickers, postage stamps and more are available in my gallery's Antique Botanical Prints Collection.
